Flautist

Mezzo Soprano

workshop leader

"Emily was mesmeric; what talent! Singing, playing and the timing of her accented, mischievous humour" - audience feedback
Emily Andrews is a classically-trained flautist and mezzo soprano, specialising in chamber music and recital performances. She also plays bass flute, alto flute, panipies, and violin, and sings non-classically, with a special interest in Latin American music. She is a passionate musical educator and an experienced workshop leader, and is artistic director of Ham Farm Festival.
"Supremely talented" - Mark Aspen review of Creating Carmen

"A natural musician" - Samuel Coles, principal flute of Philharmonia Orchestra

"She had us completely in her hands.... Her golden flute sang out with such delicious smoothness, fluency and clarity... Emily was also an unmatchable mezzo soprano" - Aberdeen Chamber Music Concerts Review

"It is a privilege to watch you teach" - Head of music South Glos Music Hub

“Clearly a multi-talented performer, as well as being a fine flautist she has a rich mezzo voice and a great deal of dramatic presence” – Susan Elkin, Lark Review
